“What’s Autumn like in Beiping?”
“It’s a glimpse of heaven you have to see at least once in your life”

Beijing in autumn has the clearest blue skies, pearl white clouds, crimson maple leaves, the most romantic pathways blanketed with ginkgo leaves, and the gentlest caresses of sunlight.
Looking around, the city’s been coloured a tinge of gold.
I like watching as beams of sunshine peek through the leaves, it’s as if catching hold of light.
Perhaps in your grasp was not merely autumn sunlight, but a glimmer of hope.
They say autumn is for reminiscing, even more it is a season of encounters.
Autumn is a fresh beginning.
I like autumn, because the wind blows, because it is still.
As the sun aligns with the equator, my everyday aligns to you.
May stories of us be etched into every autumn.
The unattainable is not so because it does not exist.
It is at your fingertips, yet you can not feel it.
Beijing’s autumn is the most beautiful autumn I’ve witnessed
Beijing’s autumn is the autumn I miss the most earnest
Beijing’s autumn, no one can fully describe.
Only by standing in its marvel can you fathom, Beijing’s autumn.
Sunlight silently embraces the red brick road.
Shadows silently creep onto the walls.
A veil silently cloaks over Beijing.
Somehow clandestine, somehow captivating, somehow enchanting.
Beijing in autumn is the crunching of leaves underfoot,
is the heated discussions of elderly men by ginkgo trees,
is the clacking of chess pieces, “knight to C4!”.
A lone leaf stealthily makes its way onto the table, the game resumes.
Autumn and tanghulu go together, or so I’ve heard.
Biting into the sugar-coated fruit,
the crisp snapping noise, the merging of sweet and sour,
almost seem like a stroke of mischief in the serene autumn.
Fallen leaves, mellow wind, all good things unexpectedly drift in.
A slow-moving night, a timely breeze, and you in this moment.
May you have an autumn like no other.
As for the next, let’s share in it, in Beijing.
